Boston: Nuke target and breakaway state capital

In a bizarre piece of uncredited fiction at the Telegraph, the U.S. becomes a fascist police state, and Boston is targeted by a “false flag” terrorist attack set-up by the federal government.

I guess I should be glad I got my speeding ticket yesterday (on the Jamaicaway, and what a whopper it was).

Next time, the police might be permitted to open fire on any suspicious vehicle…

Cryptogon’s covering Operation Blackjack, and notes the striking use of symbology in the online comic:

Remember the Kingstar (controlled demolition company) van near the exploded bus on the 7/7 London bomings? That’s what came to mind for me.

Also, the ‘fictitious’ attack occurs during the Summer solstice. What’s the name on the side of the van? New Dawn Presentations. And its logo? That’s right, the Sun.

One other thing: All the cool kids know that the Illuminati are fascinated with Ferris wheels near bodies of water. (Look, don’t blame me, I just work here.)

U.S. military helicopters attacked territory inside Syria close to its border with Iraq Sunday, killing eight people in a strike the Syrian government condemned as “serious aggression.”

A U.S. military official said the raid by special forces targeted the foreign fighter network that travels through Syria into Iraq in an area where the Americans have been unable to shut it down because it was out of the military’s reach.

“We are taking matters into our own hands,” the official told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the political sensitivity of cross-border raids.

Mideast muscle flex looks phony

Not much of a confrontation, after all.

Even Fox News smelled something fishy about the U.S. Pentagon’s very clearly altered video of the recent chest puffing exercise in the Strait of Hormuz.

But all of the mainstream media (including CNN, depicted above) are letting this slip, as if they’d learned nothing since the U.S.-led Iraq invasion. If they do it again (I suspect the Hormuz bit was a Pentagon trial balloon to check its media play), it will be fair to call the MSM complicit in a deception meant to garner public support for invading Iran.

POLITICS-US: Official Version of Naval Incident Starts to Unravel

Despite Cosgriff’s account, which contradicted earlier Pentagon portrayals of the incident as a confrontation, not a single news outlet modified its earlier characterisation of the incident. After the Cosgriff briefing, Associated Press carried a story that said, ” U.S. forces were taking steps toward firing on the Iranians to defend themselves, said the U.S. naval commander in the region. But the boats — believed to be from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s navy — turned and moved away, officials said.”

U.S. vs. China: already at war?

Trojans from Tianjin? Lead toys from Lanzhou? Parallelnormal reader Bob suspects the Chinese are deliberately firing bad products our way.

by Mark Baard

Parallelnormal reader (and close friend), Bob, from Northern California, writes: “Do you think the Chinese are at war with us and we don’t even know it?”

Recent incidents with a Chinese angle read like a recipe for asymmetric warfare.

Bob writes:

contaminated/poisoned toys, fake and even poisonous medications, bad tires, and now a Trojan (embedded at the factory) on Chinese-made Maxtor hard drives (see excerpt and link, below)…

Bob also notes the fact the crew that spilled 58,000 gallons of oil into San Francisco Bay were all Chinese nationals.

Researcher Alan Watt this week on his Cutting Through the Matrix radio program suggested a war with China may already be planned.

If the trouble is already starting, then it appears that those responsible want it to appear that the Chinese started it.

More from Bob:

The Chinese certainly are an ancient civilization and take a very long-term view. We, on the other hand, want “Always Low Prices.” It makes a lot of sense that all one would need to do is poison/detrimentally affect the minds of America’s kids, wait 30 years (or less), and take over–probably through a cyber war.

Chinese Trojan on Maxtor HDDs spooks Taiwan
Confirmation that a Maxtor hard disk drive was infected with a Trojan by a manufacturing sub-contractor in China is spooking Taiwanese authorities, one of the countries where examples of the infected kit have begun to appear.

Bomb attack unconvincing, says new Brit PM

Clods & Keystone cops: Brown compared police to the inept characters in “Police Academy,” according to the Daily Mash.

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen satire relayed as fact in the conspiracy community. The UK’s version of The Onion, called The Daily Mash, reports that PM Gordon Brown told MI5 recently that they did a lousy job of scaring the crap out of people. He said, according to the article, that he wanted to see maps and Arabic literature in the cars that were set to go off in London.

News with Views is running a link to this piece in its headline ticker this morning.

Mr Brown is understood to be disappointed with MI5′s effort, describing it as “half-arsed and transparent”.

Crackdown on cameras in New York

Try and stop him: Videographer Flux Rostrum is among the independent journalists that New York City officials want to bar from 9/11 protests this year. Photo: Mark Baard

Virtually unenforceable, bans on video- and filmmakers do have a chilling effect. But the message from city hall this year is, “if you are an independent journalist, don’t come to New York on 9/11/07.” Some 9/11 truthers are counting on tens of thousands to protest with their already ubiquitous mobile phone cameras and camcorders.
