Media Monarchy: ‘end of the world’ machine breaks down again
After weeks wasting airtime mocking those who predicted trouble for the CERN supercollider, physicists and the MSM mainstream press are reporting “an incident” in the belly of the beast.
The press ridiculed doomsday predictions recently, after an uneventful test of the massive proton-smasher.
But no protons were pitted against each other in that initial test. Now, just as the beast goes live (and right on schedule for the doomsayers), this:
from press tv: The European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) says its particle collider will be shut down due to a helium leak into its tunnel. “There has been an incident in a test. One section of the machine will have to be repaired,” CERN spokesman James Gillies announced on Saturday.

You people are just being silly. Scientists are never wrong because we are just plain smarter that the rest of you. Nothing can go wrong because we said so. So just shut up and do your work and pay your taxes. Never mind the hackers, helium leaks and the defective magnets. We do this kind of stuff all the time. We are gods and you are just human. Silly humans.

I’m thinking the hold up on the supercollider project is code for major security breach (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?xml=/earth/2008/09/12/scicern212.xml). The “doomsday” particle blaster also makes a guest appearance in Dan Brown’s Angles & Demons – guess he really did he research.
